How we collect and use your personal data

This notice sets out how we collect, use and protect personal data from anyone who visits this site, sends an enquiry or books a trip, in line with Vietnam's Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection, issued in April 2023.

Who this applies to

This notice covers anyone who browses this site, sends an enquiry, or books a trip with us, along with anyone else whose details we need to arrange your travel — a travelling companion, for instance. Using the site, submitting a form, or confirming a booking means you've read and accepted what follows. It sits alongside our [terms and conditions](terms-and-conditions) as part of the agreement you make when booking a trip.

We may update this notice from time to time, and any change takes effect as soon as it's posted here, so it's worth a check before you send us new information.

Data we collect

The personal data we ask for directly is limited: your name, phone number and email address, submitted through a contact form, a booking, or a message to our team. We don't collect sensitive categories of data such as health or biometric information.

Visiting the site itself generates a smaller set of technical data — device and browser type, IP address, language setting, and the time you connected — collected in a form that doesn't identify you individually. Cookies add a layer of marketing and browsing data, covered separately below.

How we collect it

  • Directly, through a booking, a contact form or a message to our team
  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies described below
  • From third parties, where you've interacted with content or an advertisement linked to our site

Where a third party passes us your data, we expect that party to have your consent both to share it with us and for us to use it for the purposes set out here. If you'd rather we didn't receive your details this way, don't share them with that third party in the first place.

Why we use it

We process your data to arrange and manage bookings, answer enquiries, improve the site and our services, and send you information about a trip you've asked about or are already travelling on.

  • Handling bookings, quotes and customer support
  • Sending updates related to a trip you've booked or asked about
  • Marketing communications, where you haven't opted out
  • Detecting fraud and keeping the site and our systems secure
  • Meeting our obligations under applicable law

Keeping your data secure

We use technical and organisational measures to keep personal data from being accessed, altered or disclosed without authorisation. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, though, so we'd ask you to keep any login details private and let us know straight away if you suspect they've been misused.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal data. It may be shared with our own staff, with suppliers and partners who help deliver your trip — hotels, local guides, ground transport — and with service providers who support our booking systems, all of whom are expected to protect it to the same standard we do.

If part of our business were ever sold or restructured, relevant data could transfer to the new owner under the same protections. We'll also disclose data where a government authority is legally entitled to request it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or update whatever data we're holding on you at any time — write our team and we'll confirm what we can change. Withdrawing consent for a particular use is also your right, though it may limit or end a service that depends on that data.

Depending on where you live, further rights such as filing a complaint with a regulator may also apply; those sit outside this notice and follow whatever data protection law governs your location.

Cookies

This site places small files called cookies on your device to remember settings, recognise a return visit, and understand how the site gets used in aggregate. Some cookies come from us directly; others come from third-party tools we use for analytics or embedded content.

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Doing so is fine, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

Where a page links out to a partner, supplier or advertiser, that site runs under its own privacy policy, not ours, and we have no control over what it does with your data once you leave.

Marketing messages

We may email you about offers or trips similar to ones you've asked about, in line with applicable marketing law. Every message carries a way to opt out, and once you do, we stop.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires us to retain it, whichever is longer.
